Wouldn't trust them to haul my trash.

I watched the debates from New Hampshire on Saturday January 05,2008.

I wouldn't trust any of the republican candidates that were represented at the debates to haul my trash, let alone run my government. To think that the republicans must scrape so deep in the bottom of the 50 gallon can to find candidates lets me know that this isn't going to be their year.

On the other hand, I found Governor Richards except for his habit of pounding on the gavel to drive his points home, Compassionate, believable, and experienced enough.

Hillary, and Obama, well they both have their sights set on being the first of their kind to hold the office.

John Edwards at this point, has my vote. I've followed his doings since he resign the Senate after Kerry sold him out, and have been impressed with his humanitarian efforts world wide.

I agree that lobbyists have no place in our politics, and there should be laws with teeth to do away with this charlatan practice. Give me a dollar, you're going to get the business.

I was disappointed that once again Dennis Kasinich wasn't invited, he's been the only politician willing to stick his neck out for something in which he believes, kind of reminds me of Nathan Hale. And I'd like to hear more from him. Too bad his image isn't more impressive.

I'm anxious for the Libertarians to sort out their cadidates, and hopefully, they'll have some one that shines for a change.

I just signed a petition calling on my CONGRESSIONAL Representative to reject the Bush Administration's sweeping claims of executive privilege and to take whatever steps are necessary to enforce these subpoenas, including supporting a resolution holding hold Miers, Bolten, Rove, and Cheney in contempt.

Our President and Vice President keep trying to reshape the Constitution and declare themselves above the law. CONGRESS must stand up for itself and protect our
CONSTITUTIONAL CHECKS AND BALANCES!

One of the next steps CONGRESS can take is to vote to hold Miers, Bolten, Rove, and Cheney in contempt. President Bush is trying to block CONGRESSIONAL oversight with blanket claims of executive privilege. His privilege is granted by "the people", and revoked by "the people", through our instructions to our congressional Representative.

The president has even ordered the Department of Justice not to enforce charges of Contempt of CONGRESS. But CONGRESS needs to fight this fight and send the president a message that its authority (CONGRESS), and that of "the people" will not be ignored.

Is it just my imagination, or have Politicians gone underground?

I've always felt that I was a fairly observant individual.

I notice the trivial things in life, like a license plate, a bumper sticker, and all sorts of signs.

Lately, at least during this election season, I've been noticing what I consider an interesting part of the election sign forest.

The candidates seem to be going primarily for name recognition rather than party affiliation.

Have you noticed it?

Anyone running for a republican seat has their name out in bold large letters, and the symbol for the Republican Party is less than an inch in size on the signs.

The Democrats on the other hand don't even seem to be showing the Democratic symbol at all on their signs.

If there are any Green party, Independent party, or Libertarian party people running for office, it would be hard to tell. They are not showing any party affiliation on their signs either.

Have the politicians, and would be politicians all gotten so embarrassed by the shenanigans of the current administration that they are trying not to be recognized as being a part of the current mess?

Are they hoping that being the sheep that we have become, we'll just vote on name recognition alone, and not concern ourselves about which party is screwing us the most.

We know we've been getting it hard from the republicans, but the wimps that are elected democrats have been giving it to us just as hard by their inability to stand on their own hind legs and take issue with the way things have been going.

We have a president that has the lowest IQ of any President ever elected (or not); his father being the second lowest IQ ever elected, (I guess that the gene pool runs true). Making a complete mess of the Country, trashing the Constitution, and making us more enemies than we can ever hope to make amends with.

A Congress of lay downs, and go-alongs, and a Senate of rubberstamps. {Kinko’s must be doing a wonderful business}!

A population of sheep that just keeps following the bell whether where ever it leads, not even aware that it's leading us over a cliff!

We have a National Debt so out of hand that it will take a hundred years to balance it, [if our creditors give us a hundred years]! We are so into debt to many of the nations that dufas is pissing off that if they call our notes, we'll be bankrupt!

As Country our only hope is to throw all the bastards out of office, and start new.

It's time for another Boston Tea Party! It's time to send a tea bag to each elected individual with the message "remember the last Tea Party"? "We are not going to put up with this any longer"!

I keep looking at that date on the calendar – October 5. I think of 1969-- I was copying the Pentagon Papers with Tony Russo in that month, starting October 1. My intention, however, at that time was to bring them out in connection with something called the Moratorium on October 15, 1969… because on that day…across the country 2 million people marched. Not in any one place, they were counted up and added up because they all walked out, it was a weekday, out of school, out of businesses on that weekday. They met in rallies, heard many speakers-- in those days there was great tolerance (well, there still is to some extent) for a lot of speeches. But it was a weekday and they called it the Moratorium because people thought the word general strike was too provocative, but that’s what they had in mind.

It was a walkout, in other words it was no business as usual. The president was watching it in the White House, hour by hour, while pretending that he wasn’t. In fact he was in the situation room getting half-hour reports on how many people. They were being counted, in Washington and New York, from a U2 [plane] above.

I see in this crowd people who are not all a lot younger then I am. How many people were in the moratorium, look around (applause). Let’s see the hands. I want to ask – how old were you? Often if I ask that questions, some people will say 10 or 2. They were there with their mothers, in toddler strollers and backpacks on their parents’ backs, and they were doing the same job their parents were. Being counted from the air, from reconnaissance vehicles to add up to a number of 2 million.
